Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, also called Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as Dreamville Records' debut female singer for Dreamville Records by J. Cole. Her debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in fame. Shea Butter Baby her debut album was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music onto the internet in 2012 when she launched her debut mixtape Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography, in 2013. The year 2014 saw her release additional music on the internet including Bound. The 21st day of July, 2015, Omen was featured on Elephant Eyes' track"Sweat it Out.. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville team at the time was interested in having her work on Rihanna reference. She officially was signed by Dreamville Records on 8 December. Backseat is a track that she performed alongside Cozz on the Revenge of the Dreamers II collaborative album. She released Pho, her debut EP on the 21st of October the 21st of October, 2016. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as opening the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. She was supported by EarthGang. In 2018 she went on to appear on two of her songs along with label-mates EarthGang in Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on the 16th of July in 2018. A music video later released in September. Her second single called Grampa on the 9th of November. In November 13, she came out with two additional singles, The No One as well as Pedigree. She then appeared on the Creed II soundtrack with Cole on the track Shea Butter Baby on November 16th. She released the single on February 26, 2019 for her debut album of the same title. This track, which was released with a video posted on YouTube 20 February 2019 was watched more than three million times over the first 7 days. She was part of the 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour back in December of 2018.
