Kim Delaney (born Kim Delaney) is an American actress best well-known for her character of detective Diane Russell in ABCs NYPD Blue in which she won an Emmy Award. Her most well-known role is her part as a character in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was the sole daughter of the United Auto Workers executive and his wife, who was a domestic worker. Her upbringing was in a family with four other brothers. Although she was a child with a goal of becoming journalist, it was not until the time of her high school days when Delaney started modeling. After moving from New York City and gaining experiences in commercials in New York did she achieve the career as aspiring court reporters. Her first appearance as an actor came when she was a young, innocent girl in the soap opera All My Children. Delaney was a talented young actress from the 1980s has appeared in numerous TV shows as well as dramas. In contrast to her impressive professional career, Delaney's personal life is not content and successful. The accomplished actor has had to battle alcoholism, and has had two marriages that failed. Her custody was taken away from her son in 2005.
